I have really fallen into rut (really a chasm) that i fall into when I am very busy. So busy that it interrupts my routine, even using up the wiggle room that I try to include in planning my day. So as I feel myself coming out of the immediate crunch of busyness, I am trying to give myself little time victories and rewards. And I am trying to expand my repertoire of quick, but good dishes that I can make out of the pantry. And I have even vowed to create a pantry list so that I can keep my pantry stocked with these things. (I have been known to break these vows, or at least let them sag. But I am trying harder in my aging years, because I see how valuable to my comfort what I am vowing to do is. And there are other things that get shoved in the corner when I am busy. I try to address those things too.
