Gardening Notes

I have started thinking about herbs for the garden. I am afraid to just plant in the ground, since we might actually sell our house one day. Instead I am planting herbs in pots. Last week I planted mint, which mostly seems to be taking, and some rosemary cuttings that I took from some rosemary sprigs I bought from the grocery store. 2 of the 3 seem to be promising. So that was the beginning. I don’t live in a particularly good climate for thyme, but I do have some in a pot that seems to die off in the serious heat of summer, but must just be dormant. In fall and spring it leafs out, so I keep the pot, even when it looks bleak.
