As most of you know, I am writing a biography of renowned south Louisiana food journalist and cookbook writer, Marcelle Bienvenu. I am getting close to wrapping it up, so I am trying to decide on certain matters of tone. I wrote about a year ago about a presentation at the New Orleans Book Festival in which Michael Lewis, who had just released his biography of Sam Bankman-Fried in the book, Going Infinite, and Walter Isaacson, who wrote about Elon Musk, in the book Elon Musk had a conversation. They discussed what it was like to write a biography of a person who cooperated in the biography, a person who was alive.
